Privacy policy
Effective 13 October 2026
This says what Realms of Dusk keeps, who can see it, and what we do not do with it. Playing the world or using this site means you have read it. The terms of service cover conduct and the save itself.
Who holds the data
The operator hosts the game world at play.realmsofdusk.com:19620 and this website at realmsofdusk.com. Character saves live on that host. This site is served by Cloudflare. We do not sell lists, we do not run ads, and we do not give your mail to other games.
What we keep to play
- Character name. Shown in the world to whoever is logged in. Stored on the host with the save.
- Password. Never stored as the password itself. Stored as a one-way hash and salt. The operator cannot read the password from the file. They can still reset the hash if they hold the host.
- Email. Asked at create. Used later for recovery and to reach you about the account. Other players never see it in the world. Today it still sits on the character save. It will move to a separate account store so a copied save is not a copied inbox.
- The save. Stats, pack, gold, place in the world, and the rest of the character. That is the game, not marketing data.
- Chat, signs, and names you type. Stored so the world can show them. The operator can read logs when looking at abuse.
- Connection. When you log in, the host sees the address your machine used to connect, the same way any game host does. We do not build a profile from that for ads.
This website
Opening realmsofdusk.com goes through Cloudflare. They may see your address, browser, and which page you hit, as any site host does. We have not added extra trackers, social pixels, or analytics scripts of our own.
Password-reset mail is not live yet. When it is, a mail service will send a short code from an address on realmsofdusk.com to the inbox you gave us. That service will see the address and the fact that a code was sent. We will not mail you ads.
Who can see it
- Other players: character name, where you stand, what you wear, chat and signs. Not your email or password.
- The operator: the files on the host, including saves and mail on file, when running the world or handling a report.
- Cloudflare: visits to this site.
- A mail service, later: only what is needed to send a recovery code.
If the host is ever moved, or a backup is stored off the box, those copies are still the operator’s, not a public dump.
How long
A save stays until you stop playing and ask that it be removed, or the operator wipes or closes the world. Closed or banned characters may be kept long enough to stop the same person coming straight back. Backups can lag behind a delete for a short time.
Children
Realms of Dusk is not aimed at children under 13. Do not create a character for someone that young. If we learn a save belongs to a child under 13, we will delete it.
Your asks
You can ask what we hold for a name, ask that a save be deleted, or ask that the mail on file be corrected. Use Account / Help. We will need enough to know the character is yours. Public world history (chat others already saw) is not always erasable.
What we do not do
- Sell your email or save
- Mail a password in the clear
- Show your email to other players
- Use in-game ads or sell a dossier to brokers
Changes
This page can change. The date at the top is the one in force. Playing after a change means you accept it. Bigger shifts (where mail lives, a new host) will be noted in patch notes when we can.
Contact
Account / Help. A public mail address will land there when recovery mail is live.
